2009 Midwest Gerbil Show

The 2009 American Gerbil Society Midwest Gerbil Show will be in Lincoln, Nebraska at the Country Inn & Suites this year.

Gerbil shows are like dog shows, except with smaller competitors. ;)

AGS members’ gerbils compete for Best In Show and are judged according to American Gerbil Society standards. Some of the things judges look for are body type, temperament, color, shape of tail tuft, and overall health.

In addition to the competition, you can expect to find a few Halloween-themed activities, because this year’s show is on October 31st. Even if you are not an AGS member and won’t show any gerbils, there should be plenty to do: look at or adopt some of the gerbils at the show, learn more about the best way to care for your gerbils, create homemade toys for your gerbils, and more.
