Featured Shelter Gerbils: Pepper, Popper & Pipper

Pep, Pop, and Pip the gerbilsUPDATE - May 17th: Pepper, Popper & Pipper have found a home! Thank you to everyone who helped in any way!

This week’s Featured Shelter Gerbils are Pepper, Popper & Pipper, an adorable set of gerbil brothers. Pepper and Popper are black, and Pipper is lilac. One of Pepper’s front paws is upturned, but he doesn’t let it slow him down!

These gerbils are staying with the volunteers of Small Angels Rescue.

These three boys are great buddies, so they must be adopted together.

Pepper, Popper, and Pipper are extremely cute. Unfortunately I can't help their situation since I live in NC. I am a new and very proud gerbil owner. I would like to adopt another companion, but I don't know of any breeders in my area (Eastern NC). Do you know of any? I've checked local shelters, and I would prefer a breeder over PetSmart again based on what I have read on your website.

I'm not aware of any breeders in your area, but there is a small animal rescue that might not be too far from you. Have you checked with Raleigh Rodent Rescue (www.raleighrodentrescue.org)? They often have gerbils in foster care, awaiting adoption. (Since they're in foster care, they tend to get more handling and special attention than they would in a shelter.)
