Fantastic Quilted Gerbil Gifts!

I had to share the wonderful Christmas gifts that Jason’s aunt made for me! She is an amazing quilt artist. You can see some of her work on her Web site, PegPennell.com.

Both the quilted portrait and the quilted bag are based on actual photos of Herman. The framed portrait is based on this photo of Herman, and the gerbil picture on the quilted bag is based on this photo of Herman.

I was so surprised and... well... completely floored when I opened the presents from Peg. I really can’t thank her enough! I’ve been carrying my new gerbil purse with me, and the quilted portrait of Herman is hanging on the wall above Herman and Sebastian’s tank. :)

In the photo to the left, Herman is checking out his quilted portrait for the first time. I think I was more excited about the portrait than Herman was, but he was still curious about it. ;)
