Introducing Marco & Polo!

Tonight, I'd like to introduce you to Marco and Polo, the newest gerbils here at Twin Squeaks.

They are brothers from the same litter, and both came from Black Wolf Clan Gerbils.

I adopted them while I was at the 2008 New England Gerbil Show.

Marco is a Light Dark-Eyed Honey, and Polo is a Honey Cream. (Polo is the lighter-colored of the two.)

Marco and Polo are two of the friendliest, tamest gerbils I've ever known. Both are happy to hop into my hand, and I can sit on the couch and let both of them run around on my lap without worrying that either will run away.

The boys are almost three months old now and are starting to look more grown up, but they still have lots of pup enthusiasm and energy. And Polo is an excellent sand bather. He loves to roll in chinchilla sand. :)

They're just super friendly. And did I mention adorable, too??? :)
