Featured Shelter Gerbil: Gillyweed

Gillyweed the gerbilThis is Gillyweed, this week’s featured shelter gerbil. Gillyweed and several other rodents were going to be put to sleep, but then they were rescued by the Rabbit & Small Animal Rescue in Westland, Michigan.

Gillyweed is a very handsome red fox who doesn’t ever bite, according to the Rabbit & Small Animal Rescue. He is very active and friendly. The rescue recommends that he go to a home without small children, but teens and adults would both make good owners for Gilly.

You can learn more about Gilly, see more photos of him, and even watch a video of Gilly on on his Petfinder page. To fill out an application to adopt Gilly, please visit the Rabbit & Small Animal Rescue Web site.

If you adopt Gillyweed, please email me and let me know. I love to hear of happy endings when a shelter gerbil finds a new home. :)
