Gerbils Catch Spies!

This BBC article's been around for quite a few years now, but it's a real gem, so I wanted to share it with everyone. According to the BBC, British MI5 agents considered training gerbils to catch spies.

You can read more in the article, but the idea was that the gerbils could smell anxiety and sense spies who were nervous about getting caught. The gerbils never became government operatives, however, because they couldn't tell the difference between a spy scared of being caught and an average person who's scared of flying.
